Our third and final day of Skills Academy left us all feeling like we wanted more! The campers spent their final hours putting all of their skills to good use in their final stations and team competitions. Each of the players met with Coach Vick in the film room to view their shots on the big screen. Coach critiqued their form, stressed consistency in each shot preparation, follow through, and the importance of confidence in their shot.
Camp ended with a swish by one first-time camper from California who happens to be an alumnus' son. The campers went wild as he ran down the court to celebrate. For those who know his father, a Hampden-Sydney All-American, it was reminiscent of many game winners he hit during his time on the Hill.
